Long Coloured Glass rods in opaque or transparent are melted in the flame and wound onto a mandrel (Metal Rod) by hand creating a bead like shape of molten glass. Techniques are then used to create swirls, dots, and magical thing begin to develop. There are many different tools used in Flameworking  /Lampworking, usually made of stainless steel or graphite.

By annealing the glass beads, they are guaranteed to remain as hard as rocks. When a glass bead is finished, the hot bead (while still on the mandrel) is placed in a kiln heated at 960°F. The annealing process releases the stress from the glass and slowly cools
the beads down to room temperature. Cooling the glass beads too quickly causes them to crack.

Hi Nicole, I only say 6 yrs as they have more concentration at that age. My Grandaughter at 5 loved doing it..I come with all beads, wires, fixings and lovely silk bags to take all their bits home in ( party bags i guess to save you the trouble)
For that age i would keep it to choosing design, threading. choosing fixings etc. They can make beaded bracelets, pendant necklace and one for” Mummy”
It is 11/2 hrs..have found 2hrs is just that bit too long.
£60 min. charge for up to 5 children and £10 for each additional child………….so 6 will be £70 etc.I would need a table and them sitting round….7-8 max.
They will all have chance to make a lovely key ring too if they choose.
Birthday girl gets to choose from a basket of brand new jewellery (age appropriate)
Let me know as i am really busy with parties they are so popular at the moment. Thanks Kim phone 07887848447
